| | Gill Industries began in 1954 by E. Gilbert Caroline, “Gill,” in support of his primary business of erecting clarifiers, sludge incinerators, and boilers. Caroline needed permanent solutions to damaged concrete, thus forming Gill Chemical Company. The product was pioneered in Germany during the early forties and brought to the United States as the first product developed in what is recognized as micro-silica technology. In the late eighties, Roger L. Barrett was employed by Gill to further market Gill 33®. Eventually, Roger initiated a complete line of concrete repair products and increased sales through distributorships. Unfortunately, both gentlemen are no longer with us, but their previous commitment and persistence is evident in the success of the company.
